Website copywriting is a specialist service.  A good designer may well have copywriting skills, but don't count on it.  If your site is designed to look good, but without close attention to search-engine-optimisation, you might be the only person to ever see it.  If you had the necessary skills to write your own content and code it correctly for a good Google ranking, then you wouldn't be looking for someone else to build or optimise a website for you.

Site Navigation and Usability Improvement

One of the keys to a successful business website is to not confuse your potential clients with non-standard navigation.
If some parts of your site have clickable links which might not be obvious to some users, then put duplicate links on the left-hand navigation where anyone can find them.

I apply the “KISS“ principle here. Why go to the trouble to make a gimmicky website that confuses and loses customers?
Generally I use simple “CSS“ button navigation, this is easy to do and makes for the quickest possible page-load time. If you want, I can certainly give you picture-buttons.
My picture-rollover code is mostly CSS, which has less code than the equivalent Java Script.  It definitely helps with website optimisation to have the highest possible ratio of optimised content to page code.
